It was an amazing trip. We all loved the church and the community. Even though we were far from home, we never felt unsafe. God's love was evident through every part. I really appreciate all the help setting it up from city connexx. It seriously could not have gone any better.
Jeff, Youth Leader, CityConnexx Indiana Mission Team
This mission trip was a lot of fun. I had most of my fun when my youth group and I went into downtown Denver and handed out water bottles to homeless people. We got to meet many really nice people and we started a "chain-reaction" of niceness. We gave a water bottle to a man holding a sign for a store we walked by and talked to him for a good amount of time. Then after a couple minutes my pastors wife told us all that the man holding the sign gave his water to a guy coughing while walking down the street.

I have had the most spiritual time of my life this week. I have served in many ways too. I have been helping kids in need by helping at summer camp. I have also helped with a food bank, art studio, and handing out church school fliers. The most emotionally uplifting times were the devotions. These devotions were all in different areas of Denver. The first night we hiked to a glacier and sat and studied in that beautiful area. Then we went to the Columbine Memorial and had a very emotional time and an hour before that we heard a Testimony by a lady named Bonnie which was hard to listen to also. But last night was awesome because we handed water bottles out to homeless people and I met wonderful people... my journey to Christ grew even stronger.

WHEN I FIRST GOT HERE TO DENVER I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BE HOME SICK THE WHOLE TIME, BUT WHEN I GOT HERE I KNEW I WASN'T GOING TO BE HOME SICK BECAUSE I WAS WITH MY FRIENDS AND THE LORD WAS GOING TO BLESS ME WITH THIS MISSION TRIP. YESTERDAY WE WENT TO THE HOMELESS PLACE IN DOWN TOWN DENVER, AND WE MET THIS GUY NAMED JOSE AND HE WAS TELLING US THAT A LOT OF THE TIME (WE WERE HANDING OUT WATER) ITS USUALLY COMMERCIAL AND HE KEPT ON SAYING THAT HE WAS DRUNK BUT THAT WE ARE A BLESSING TO HIM AND I SAID THAT WE WOULD PRAY FOR HIM AND HE SAID I THINK I AM GOING TO CRY. THAT SAME NIGHT JORDAN, ONE OF OUR HELPERS, PRAYED FOR THE HOMELESS PEOPLE AND AT THE END OF PRAYER WE GOT OUT OF THE VAN AND I WAS CRYING AND EVERYONE WAS HUGGING ME AND SAYING THAT THE LORD WILL BLESS THEM. I HAD SO MUCH FUN ON THIS MISSION TRIP AND I WILL FOR SURE GO ON OUR NEXT ONE! : )
