Junior High Kids sponsor children on their youth mission tripThu, 17 Mar 2011 A group of mostly junior high teens took a tour of Compassion International while serving in Denver on their spring break trip. At the end of the tour, three kids were so impressed with what they saw that they wanted to sponsor a child in a third world country right then and there. One of the youth called home they said, "Hey mom, we have a new addition to our family" When she heard about what he did she was kind of shocked. He replied, "Oh mom, we have so much, it's the least we could do." After the group got back to their urban ministry site in Denver, they discovered that the old church vacuum cleaner was broken. So one of the boys took it upon himself to have one of the youth leaders take him over to Walmart and buy the urban church a new one. The pastor was shocked and surprised and very grateful that this young man would see a need and just fix it out of his own meager allowance. It's stories like this, inspired by the spirit, that make mission trips so rewarding. We hope and pray you'll bring your group or family on a custom designed CityConnexx urban or Native American mission trip that you'll never forget. CityConnexx is sponsored by Compassion International. A program of YPN
