4 Year Mission Plan for Youth Ministry
Like the disciples, we need to coach our students up on what it is to be mindful of others and to be missional everywhere.
Year 1 (Jerusalem). Start with middle school students or those that are new to missions. Start them serving in their own backyard (Jerusalem). There are dozens of opportunities in an inner city at-risk community near you. Let CityConnexx put together a weekend micro mission trip to help those starting off this important lifetime journey.
Year 2 (Judea). Let CityConnexx design a mission trip to Judea for you. We have many inner city ministry partners just a few hours away from you. Far enough to be a journey, close enough to show the needs in nearby neighborhood.
Year 3 (Samaria) . Native American Reservations are a very eye opening experience for anyone that serves in these very difficult communities. The history and the legacy of the Native Americans needs to be understood and they desperately need the love of Christ and the reach into reconciliation that only God can bring. In addition we have serving opportunities that are in unexpected areas like New York City, San Francisco and Panama City Florida.
Year 4 (Ends of the Earth). Through our partnership and Compassion International (CI) we can help you reach dozens of the Compassion Internationals villages around the world where the love of Christ is hard at work through thousands of child sponsors that are raising up strong children that will grow into strong adult leaders for their nation.
Missional Extreme Challenge: You remember the youth you first served? Remember the relationship you began to develop with those at risk kids? How about taking them on your next missions opportunity? What if CityConnexx, through our Urban Scholarship Fund, could help you and your youth group include these inner city youth on a shared missions experience. Give them the opportunity to "pay it forward" and serve others along side you and your students. How powerful is that?
