Denver Street School Wins Third Consecutive Championship Title

CityConnexx National Director, Jim Galanaugh, coached the Denver Street School Boys Basketball Team to their third consecutive Front Range Christian Athletic Association Championship Title last month, finishing the conference season undefeated.

According to Coach Jim Galanaugh, "This year we were blessed with a really talented group of players.  These kids come from tough situations and that makes me very proud of not only what they accomplished on the court, but also what they are accomplishing personally and academically to be able to play.  Our players have grabbed a hold of the future and are going for it.  All of our seniors plan to attend college next year."

Although this team has been exceedingly triumphant, each team member has faced extreme adversity just to play the game.  The boys bastketball team at this private Christian school designed to aid at-risk youth, is comprised of nine young men ranging in age and experience.  Four of the young men on the team are from out of state and are only able to participate through the Bulldog House residential program.  This is an amazing program provided through the Denver Street School and StreetSchool Network.
