Compassion Sponsors CityConexx

YouthPartnersNET is excited to announce that once again Compassion International is providing a very generous sponsorship grant to help us promote and underwrite our CityConnexx short-term urban missions program for groups that want to "come and see" (John 1: 46) grassroots urban and Native American ministry. This marks Compassion's second year to help us launch and sponsor this unique, custom-designed urban and Native American mission experience.

With Compassion's support and endorsement, YPN is able to offer suburban churches and college groups an inexpensive short-term missions experience to gain exposure in this cross-cultural, life changing compassionate ministry service program. We encourage you to join us for a week long "short-term missions with long-term impact" starting at $225 per person for the week. YPN President Dean Cowles, CityConnexx staff along with Age Sandoval, one of our CityConnexx ministry partners, traveled to Compassion's International Headquarters November 5th for their corporate chapel to thank them and share some of the highlights this last year.  One group brought teens to Denver to serve and their lives were so touched that they asked to be baptized in the Confluence River during one of their outreach events. And Age was asked to visit the suburban church that brought their group to his hip hop urban ministry. In a spontaneous surprise love offering, several couples donated enough funds to help sponsor one of his gang prevention programs for the entire year. Dean explained that with Compassion's support this is the kind of ministry multiplication we all prayed for when CityConnexx was birthed two years ago.

The CityConnexx staff was overjoyed as they were overwhelmed after chapel with requests from employees to bring their churches, youth groups, and small groups on a CityConnexx trip.
