CCX Founder to Speak at International Bible Society Chapel

Rev. Cowles is honored to be invited back to speak at the International Bible Society (IBS now called Biblica) corporate chapel on April 25 in Colorado Springs. IBS has been a long time partner with us all the way back to 2000 when we were then the Compassion USA Ministry division. Together we have published two special editions of the highly acclaimed "My City, My God" urban bible designed for at-risk kids. Our partners and key donors have allowed us to distribute tens of thousands of these special editions with full color testimonies of youth whose lives have been changed by Christ.

CityConnexx mission teams use them as fundraisers for their mission trips. They ask donors for $10. $2.50 goes towards purchasing the bibles which leaves $7.50 (75%) which goes toward the trip costs. Then when they arrive they give those bibles out to youth and take a picture to send back to the donor so they can see how their investment has helped. Some groups have raised nearly their entire mission trip cost through this effective outreach. Our partners love it since it brings needed bibles into their communities. One recent donor gave a very large donation for these bibles to be delivered to our Native American partners.
