Article featured in Nazarene Communications NetworkMon, 12 Sep 2011 Dean Cowles, long-time Nazarene urban ministry and church planter appeared August 26 and 27 as a guest on Trinity Broadcasting Network with Chris Hill to talk about urban ministry and effective ways to reach underserved at-risk communities.Cowles was the founder of Shepherd Community Urban Ministry in Indianapolis, Indiana, the site of the next Church of the Nazarene General Assembly. He and his wife, Cheryl, also founded Crossroads Church of the Nazarene urban ministry in downtown Denver, Colorado. Dean was Compassion USA Ministry director and is now founder and national director of CityConnexx, a short-term mission sending ministry sponsored by Compassion and featured in July at the Nazarene Youth Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. CityConnexx supports and send groups to several Nazarene Compassionate Ministry Centers around the U.S. CityConnexx is sponsored by Compassion International. A program of YPN
